Backend Development Specialist

At the heart of our innovative access control systems lies a robust backend infrastructure designed and developed by skilled professionals like yourself.

This role demands a deep understanding of backend technologies, including Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC. As a crucial member of our development team, you will work in a dynamic environment to deliver high-quality software that enhances functionality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Java, and Kotlin.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems.
  • Ensure high performance and responsiveness of the application.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current backend technologies and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers, helping them navigate technical challenges and grow in their careers.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in software engineering, including code quality, testing, and documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Experience with observability technologies (e.g. Datadog).
  • Experience with Git versioning systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively.

Professional Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in backend development.
  • Proven experience with Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.
  • Familiarity with Git versioning systems.
