Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist. This role will be responsible for leading and implementing EHS initiatives across the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in handling EHS initiatives, including leadership positions, knowledge of labor and social regulations, and experience in sustainability projects.

Responsibilities

  1. Serve as a change agent within the facility to develop, rollout, manage and maintain EHS programs to meet applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  2. Identify long and short-term objectives to support the Plant goals, and develop tactical strategies to drive execution and conformity with the goals.
  3. Provide training and resources to ensure completion of identified training needs, and schedule training and/or kaizen events / Projects with the plant team.
  4. Communicate results to all internal and external customers and forums, examine and evaluate progress after new or improvement implementation, and participate in staff meetings to provide updates to the management team and plant associates.

Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience in handling EHS initiatives throughout the organization.
  • 2+ years in leadership positions.
  • Knowledge and interpretation of labor and social regulations (conventions and standards).
  • Experience in leading and facilitating workshops/improvement activities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in sustainability projects with proven implementation.

Education

  • Degree in Engineering or Business with complementary certifications.
  • Accreditation for Technical Responsibility Note.

Language

Fluent English.
