Position Overview

We are looking for a driven and experienced Business Controller to become a vital part of our team at Volvo Trucks Latin America. In this role, you will be instrumental in financial planning, analysis, and providing decision support for our Sales Area. You will work closely with senior leadership to propel strategic initiatives, enhance financial performance, and ensure optimal resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and oversee financial forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans.
  • Perform variance analysis and deliver insights to senior management.
  • Track KPIs and financial metrics.
  • Engage with Latin America Controllers and Commercial leaders to comprehend operational drivers and their financial implications.
  • Offer financial insights and recommendations to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Generate precise and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure adherence to Volvo's financial policies and procedures.
  • Assess potential opportunities, risks, and scenarios to guide strategic decisions.
  • Mentor and develop junior finance team members.
  • Encourage a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
  • Contribute significantly to digital transformation initiatives and promote a continuous improvement mindset to boost business productivity and efficiency.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in controllership, financial planning and analysis, and/or business partnering, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with expertise in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to convert financial data into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with VPS and a continuous improvement approach.
  • Collaborative attitude, reaching out to others to address challenges and promote ongoing enhancements.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Power BI; knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
