Vehicle Technician

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Vehicle Technician to join our workshop in Roscommon. The ideal candidate will have a specialization in either Kia/Hyundai or VW models and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional work.

The role involves performing vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles. This includes conducting thorough vehicle inspections, identifying mechanical and electrical faults, and adhering to manufacturer specifications and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles with a specialisation in either Kia/Hyundai or VW models.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Maintain accurate records of all service and repair work completed.
  • Order parts and equipment as needed, managing inventory efficiently.
  • Ensure the work area is clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with the service advisory team.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician.
  • A relevant automotive qualification (e.g., FETAC/QQI Level 6 or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electronics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • A full, clean driver's license is preferred.
