About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled HR Business Partner to join our team. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting the organization's strategic objectives by providing expert HR guidance and support to client group leaders, managers, and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement best practices, programs, and policies for HR excellence.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers, providing leadership, coaching, and support for individual employee needs and HR processes.
  • Support Plant Leaders, leaders, and supervisors in championing program implementation, influencing behavior, and driving change towards a positive work environment.
  • Identify issues and opportunities to develop action plans to improve operating group performance.
  • Train and coach management on HR-related topics, including employee relations, recognition, disciplinary actions, HR processes, and HR tools.
  • Maintain relationships with current Collective Bargaining establishments and support employee relations and labor relations concerning the Union representing the cement facility.
  • Assist with goal setting for managers and employees, and new hires.
  • Assist with reviewing and merit processing for managers and employees.
  • Follow up on performance issues identified, working with managers and employees to suggest plans for improvement.
  • Work with operating management to improve productivity at the business unit level.
  • Assist with projects assigned by the Senior HR Manager across the region.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, leading projects and resource requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in HR business partnering or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex HR issues and provide sound solutions.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with HR systems and tools.
