Ecommerce Content Strategist

We are looking for a highly skilled ecommerce content strategist to develop and implement our YouTube video strategy. This is not just a content role — it's a direct response role using YouTube as the platform.

As an ecommerce content strategist, you will be responsible for scripting and strategizing content that grows our YouTube channel and drives qualified leads and sales for our consulting offer.

Our ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience writing/scripting with the goal of generating leads/sales. They have prior experience scripting or outlining for YouTube channels and VSLs in the business/education space and understands how to design content to capture leads and convert them into customers.

The growth opportunity in this role is endless, as it is a new, fast growing company.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English.
  • Direct Response Expertise: 3+ years of experience writing/scripting with the goal of generating leads/sales.
  • YouTube Knowledge: Experience scripting or strategizing content for YouTube (business/education/consulting channels preferred).
  • Conversion-Oriented: Strong understanding of funnels, CTAs, lead generation, and nurturing via content.
  • Analytical: Comfortable using YouTube Analytics (and tools like TubeBuddy/VidIQ) to track both growth and conversion metrics.

  • Work with designer to create title & thumbnail variations for each video optimized for CTR.
  • Research & pitch weekly video concepts focused on lead generation & conversions.

Accountabilities:

  • Write strong CTAs into scripts (subscribe, download, book a call).
  • Track performance across both YouTube metrics (CTR, retention, watch time) and business metrics (leads, call bookings).
