Caregiver Support Professional

About the Role:

This position involves providing essential support and assistance to individuals who require help with daily living activities. The successful candidate will ensure clients' comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Support clients with mobility, including transferring, repositioning, and using mobility aids.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
  • Assist with medication reminders if permitted by regulations.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, dishwashing, and tidying living areas.
  • Monitor and report changes in clients' physical or emotional condition to relevant personnel.
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or social activities as needed.
  • Follow care plans and work closely with family members and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior caregiving experience is preferred but not always required.
  • Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) may be required by state regulations.
  • CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
  • Ability to lift and assist clients as needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a care team.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • May involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Work may be performed in private homes, assisted living facilities, or healthcare settings.
  • Flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required.
