Senior Technical Designer in Animation

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Designer in Animation to join our team. As a key member of our animation pipeline, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex character animation systems that bring our game worlds to life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create advanced animation behavior tools, techniques, and philosophies that enable the development of sophisticated movement systems
  • Design and implement state-of-the-art animation state machines, behaviors, and runtime solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve in-game animation implementation issues and technical challenges
  • Maintain high standards of animation quality and style through close collaboration with animation leadership
  • Identify opportunities to improve the animation pipeline and workflow, providing innovative solutions to technical animation problems

Requirements:
  • Deep understanding of realistic and stylized character motion, achieved through expertise in modern animation methods
  • Proficiency with animation pipelines, including source content creation tools such as Maya, MotionBuilder, and Unreal Engine
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability, combined with strong written communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with gameplay animation tools and concepts, such as blend trees and state machines; experience with Unreal Engine Animation Blueprints is an asset
  • Experience working on large-scale game development projects, preferably with a established game engine (internal or commercial); experience with Unreal Engine is beneficial
  • Self-motivation and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently
