Role Overview

As a Solution Consultant, you will deliver high-quality solutions and business outcomes based on existing products for Asset Performance Management or Advanced Process Control. Your expertise will contribute to the design of comprehensive solutions across project lifecycles - from pre-sales through design and delivery.

  • You will develop industry- and application-specific solutions for customers, lead value discovery sessions, assess customer needs, and create tailored solutions.
  • You will identify and understand prospective customers' critical business issues to present and demonstrate software capabilities as the best solution to win business.
  • You will build customer-specific solutions on the AspenTech platform using all available tools.
  • You will develop robust recommendations, proposals, and scope of work documents for Consulting engagements, identifying critical dependencies & gaps.
  • You will consult with customers and advise on relevant AspenTech solutions and services, establishing a credible value proposition.
  • You will develop & execute sales campaigns and plans together with Sales teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3 - 10 years of consulting, pre-sales, professional services consulting experience in bulk chemicals, general chemicals, or specialty chemicals, in Asset Performance Management or Advanced Process Control.
  • A strong understanding of refinery processes, chemical manufacturing economics, with ability to interact with potential customers and discuss their plants, work processes, and manufacturing economics.
  • A strong drive to solve customer problems and rapidly convert pipeline opportunities into closed deals.
  • A balance of business and technology acumen, including ability to articulate high-level technical solutions to business problems and the differentiated value those solutions can provide.
