In this position, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team focused on transforming designs and concepts for a next-generation global payroll system into reality. You will collaborate with teams across various countries to strategize, design, develop, test, and implement effective solutions that enhance integration, migration, and implementation processes within our suite of products and partnerships.

Your daily activities will vary as you engage with your team and both internal and external partners to prioritize and craft solutions for various business initiatives. As a Lead Frontend Software Engineer, you will closely collaborate with your team and take a hands-on approach to designing and developing web applications, utilizing your frontend development expertise.

To excel in this role, you should be enthusiastic about leveraging technology to address business challenges. You should feel confident coding the frontend of the applications you are developing. Proficiency in cutting-edge frontend technologies is essential, along with the ability to design solutions and technically guide other developers in bringing those designs to fruition. On the backend, familiarity with Java 8, Spring Boot, and REST is expected to create efficient and clean code based on user stories. On the frontend, experience with React 16, CSS, HTML, and JEST is required, while knowledge of Tailwind and Test-Driven Development (TDD) is a plus.

Additionally, this role offers the chance to step into a Scrum Master position, assisting the team in balancing workloads and making informed decisions to deliver value swiftly. Therefore, experience with Agile methodologies is essential.

Previous exposure to semantic technologies and graph databases will make you an excellent fit for this role, as the team utilizes these technologies. If you are unfamiliar with some or all of these technologies but are eager to learn, this is your opportunity.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • Experience working in an Agile environment (SCRUM preferred).
  • Proficient in using GIT and repositories (Bitbucket preferred, but GitHub or GitLab are acceptable).
  • Experienced with modern IDEs such as IntelliJ or Eclipse.
  • Capable of coding user stories using Java 8, Spring Boot, and REST.
  • Highly skilled in fundamental frontend technologies: Typescript, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3.
  • Proficient in Angular or React.
  • Experienced with SASS and/or LESS.

Desirable:

  • Experience with public cloud services (AWS preferred).
  • Familiarity with Clean Code principles.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred).
  • Experience with Semantic Web Technologies (RDF, OWL, SPARQL).
  • Familiarity with graph databases (Amazon Neptune, GraphDb, Neo4J).
