About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our dynamic team as a Medical Scientific Liaison. The successful candidate will be responsible for disseminating clinical information about innovative products for cancer treatment to thought-leaders, academic institutions, healthcare professionals, and professional organizations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and succinct clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare professionals;
  • Implement defined goals and objectives aligned with the Medical Affairs Plan of Action;
  • Cultivate and maintain working relationships with existing and future thought leaders in assigned geographic territories;
  • Participate in advisory boards, symposia, and educational programs;
  • Collaborate with colleagues across other functional areas;
  • Support the development, deployment, and appropriate use of field tools and resources;
  • Complete required administrative procedures in a timely fashion;
  • Exhibit core values: integrity, teamwork, accountability, and excellence.

Requirements:
  • Scientific Knowledge:
    • Demonstrate a deep level of knowledge and understanding of the science behind the relevant disease state and its treatment;
    • Maintain a comprehensive awareness of current 'real world' clinical practices and emerging trends in treatments;
    • Compare Gilead's products and pipeline relative to competitors' products and pipeline;
  • Scientific Communication:
    • Conduct meaningful scientific exchange and communicate complex scientific information in an organized manner;
    • Respond to inquiries in an unbiased and timely fashion;
    • Presents oneself in a professional manner and applies sound judgment in oral and written communication;
  • Healthcare Landscape Awareness:
    • Keep current on emerging trends in the healthcare industry and health policies;
    • Understand global, national, regional, and account-specific implications around cost efficacy/value data;
    • Use knowledge to anticipate and address external stakeholders' needs;
  • Strategic Relationship Building:
    • Continually cultivate relations with key stakeholders and opinion leaders;
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business outcomes;
