The Procurement Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing the procurement process of aviation parts, equipment, and services. This position requires strategic sourcing, supplier management, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Sourcing:
- Develop and execute plans to optimize procurement processes and supplier relationships.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Develop strategies to achieve cost savings, improve quality, and ensure supply chain resilience.
- Lead the selection and negotiation process for key suppliers, aligning with organizational goals.
- Procurement Management:
- Oversee the procurement of aviation parts, equipment, and services, adhering to specifications and timelines.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including order placement, supplier coordination, and delivery management.
- Implement best practices to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
- Supplier and Vendor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing issues related to delivery, quality, or service.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of supplier performance, implementing improvement plans as needed.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels of aviation parts and equipment to ensure adequate supply and minimize stockouts.
- Implement inventory control measures and optimize inventory turnover rates.
- Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to forecast demand and manage inventory accordingly.
Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within the aviation industry is essential.
Education and SkillsA Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Aviation Management, or a related field is required. Strong Excel, Outlook, ERPs, and PowerBI skills are necessary.
