  • Develop data models and pipelines, build REST APIs to provide data to downstream systems, ensuring seamless integration across the organization.
  • Perform thorough debugging and fixing application issues, conducting root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement, while contributing to proactive/preventive maintenance efforts.
  • Adhere to test-driven development approach, upholding the highest standards of quality in our software solutions.
  • Collaborate with the team to address technical debt reduction and adhere to clean code principles, promoting a culture of efficiency and scalability.
  • Implement security-by-design principles to define robust security frameworks around data pipelines and APIs, safeguarding sensitive information.
  • Work collaboratively as an Agile team member, actively participating in backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective activities.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Advanced English language proficiency, encompassing broad vocabulary, good grammar, effective communication skills for meetings, arguments, negotiations, and training sessions.
  • Experience with ETL, data modeling, data warehousing, and working with large-scale datasets, showcasing expertise in handling complex data structures.
  • Proven API development experience, specifically with REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot, demonstrating a solid grasp of API design and implementation.
  • Test-driven development experience, emphasizing the importance of rigorous testing and validation.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and lean development principles, including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery/Deployment using tools like Git and Jenkins.
  • Working knowledge of data engineering and respective tools and technologies, such as Apache Spark, Databricks, Python, SQL DB, NoSQL DB, data lake concepts, and AWS services.
