Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Contracts Professional to oversee our contracting processes across various programs. This role involves drafting, reviewing and administering different contract types, as well as modifying existing contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create process documents and agreement templates for contracting paid by organizational, foundational, federal, and routine funding sources.
  • Cultivate relationships between organizational and programmatic stakeholders for agreement and approval on scopes of work and terms and conditions.
  • Process internal requests for contract support, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Record and store agreements and delivery orders for review and execution, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Support pre-award/procurement activities, such as Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, and Requests for Qualifications, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Monitor, manage, and communicate with consultants and vendors for materials required to satisfy agreement compliance conditions, guaranteeing seamless collaboration and successful project outcomes.
  • Onboard new consultants and vendors as approved and requested, facilitating a smooth integration into our team.
  • Support other Contracting and Expense Team members with recording expenses and ad hoc requests, promoting a culture of teamwork and effective communication.
  • Facilitate and project manage programmatic stipends process and expense recording, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Track and manage consultant and contractor commitments, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and deliver routine and ad hoc reporting to internal stakeholders as assigned or requested, providing valuable insights and supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Research and problem solve using precedent and policies for contracting concerns and emergent programs, applying expert knowledge and analytical skills to resolve complex issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred; Experience considered in lieu of degree, highlighting the importance of relevant industry experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience, with at least one year working with contracts or experience working directly with VentureWell programs, showcasing a strong track record of success.
  • Current or prior experience working in a full-time contracting capacity required, demonstrating a deep understanding of contracting principles and practices.
  • Digital fluency using cloud-based office tools, with the ability to incorporate these tools into day-to-day work, ensuring seamless workflow and productivity.
  • The ability to succeed in an environment with competing and changing priorities and tight deadlines, requiring adaptability, flexibility, and strong time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work, emphasizing the importance of accuracy and precision in all aspects of the job.
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity, navigating complex situations and finding creative solutions.
