Financial Services Consultant

This is a senior-level position that requires in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and the Calypso platform.

Job Description:

As a Senior Functional Consultant, you will be working with clients to deliver high-quality solutions and services that meet their business needs.

You will be responsible for supporting and additional build out of Calypso instances, addressing production support issues, troubleshooting, and providing support to users on Calypso.

Additionally, you will work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and additional build out of Calypso instances
  • Addressing production support issues and troubleshooting
  • Providing support to users on Calypso
  • Configuring and optimizing functional setup in Calypso

Tasks Expected to be Performed:

  • Configuring Standard & Custom Interfaces within Calypso
  • Setting up Quote Feeds from Bloomberg
  • Setting up Holiday Calendar feed
  • Setting up Interest Rate Curves & other market data
  • Setting up Equity Volatility Surface feeds
  • Translating Historical Volatility of Volatility-controlled indexes to a Volatility Surface to be used in Calypso
  • Performing end-of-day processing/monitoring

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience working in Capital Markets and Calypso
  • Good knowledge of Financial products cross assets
  • Expertise with front-to-back Calypso derivatives solution, including accounting, preferably with an insurance industry focus
  • Ability to work with little supervision, be a fast learner, self-motivated, team player, and collaborator with strong problem-solving skills
  • Must be resourceful and demonstrate initiative in getting the job done
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to train and transfer knowledge to stakeholders
  • Proven track record of delivery of implementation/migration projects
  • Comprehensive knowledge of trade flow, trading systems, and related concepts and technology
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, understanding of project life cycles, and ability to act in an entrepreneurial manner
