You will be the voice of our customers as a Product Manager at Liferay. Your responsibilities include increasing profitability and market fit for one of our products. You'll help build products from existing ideas and develop new ones based on industry experience and customer contact. You must enjoy working with customers and prospects to understand their problems and collaborate with product development teams to discover innovative solutions. Effective communication with all team members is crucial, and you will work closely with product leadership to establish goals and priorities for your product offering.
Key Objectives:
- Develop and communicate the program vision and roadmap to deliver innovative components aligned with our strategy.
- Build understanding among team members of the product's vision.
- Drive value increment objectives and release content via prioritized features and capabilities.
- Work with UX and Engineering to develop components and features from product hypothesis to launch and iteration.
- Engage with customers to uncover new business opportunities improving our product and solving customer pain points.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other product managers, business analysts, tech leads, and department heads to harmonize components across a product.
Requirements:
- Software product management experience, preferably in software.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant experience.
- Ability to speak and write English fluently.
- Proven track record of leading through influence and vision.
- This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites.
- Understanding of the importance of being a team player.
- Flexibility and adaptability to change.
- Strong knowledge of technical concepts and comfort working with engineers.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience building web/mobile/digital products is a plus.
