Achieving long-term sustainability is at the core of our operations. As a key player in this field, you will collaborate with a global team of experts to drive positive change.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a comprehensive sustainability strategy that aligns with corporate goals and fosters a culture of environmental responsibility.
- Lead commercial sustainability initiatives, leveraging cross-value chain connections and driving business growth through innovative programs.
- Engage with customers to discuss sustainability principles, strategic alignment, and theories of change, contributing to market share retention and growth.
- Collaborate with NGOs to develop engagement plans and focus areas, ensuring alignment with business and corporate sustainability approaches.
- Identify and connect opportunities to commercialize sustainability, partnering with marketing and communications to position initiatives and offerings.
- Represent the organization at external forums, webinars, and seminars, building brand trust and visibility through thought leadership.
- Provide strategic leadership, development, and talent management activities for direct reports, including forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, training, and succession planning.
- Collaborate with managers and supervisors to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience representing an organization at large events and media engagements.
- Solid related work experience, five years of supervisory experience.
- Fluent English and Spanish.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in business, sustainability, or relevant field.
- Experience working across food ingredients and bio-industrial supply chains or the wider food ingredients industry.
- Commercial experience working for/with downstream suppliers and customers on sustainability (retailers, food service, and consumer package goods companies).
- Proven ability to link and build sustainability impacts and commercial relationships.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive results-oriented strategies and foster a culture of sustainability within the organization.
This role requires a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, and external partners.
