Accounting Associate Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to join our accounting team as an Accounting Associate. This role is responsible for assisting in managing financial records, processing transactions, and supporting accounting functions to ensure smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Reconcile key accounts, including bank statements, and ensure accuracy in financial records.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Maintain documentation and records for auditing and compliance purposes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable learning and navigating new systems and tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and other key stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Full professional proficiency, both spoken and written.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably with a US based company.
  • Experience preparing bank reconciliations, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, etc.
Nice to Have:
  • Work experience at one of the big four US accounting firms.
  • Ability to create or improve processes.
