About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Product Formulation Manager to lead our new product development efforts in the consumer products industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing innovative formulations that meet our business objectives and stay ahead of the competition. Your expertise in formulation and delivery system technologies will enable us to create products that delight our customers while maintaining our commitment to safety, scientific significance, accuracy, and recordkeeping.

Main Responsibilities
As a Product Formulation Manager, your primary duties will include:
Developing new products and extending product lines to meet business objectives
Leading the development and qualification of alternative raw materials to ensure availability and cost-effectiveness
Identifying cost savings opportunities to deliver consumer-preferred benefits
Collaborating with cross-functional teams for new product development and launches
Co-developing effective formulations with suppliers and third parties
Meeting internal ingredient standards and industry best practices for safety, scientific significance, accuracy, and recordkeeping
Conducting product performance, formula stability, and packaging compatibility testing
Optimizing formulation ingredients to manage costs and availability of ingredients for intended function
Preparing samples and tracking documentation for stability, micro-challenge, and performance testing

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
A Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or a related science field
At least 6 years of experience in the consumer products industry or a master's degree with at least 4 years of relevant work experience
Proficiency in English and Portuguese languages, with Spanish being an asset
Strong external outreach skills to work closely with suppliers and third parties
The ability to provide innovative ideas and knowledge with a high degree of integrity, speed, and results-oriented approach
Scientific curiosity and the ability to solve technical problems related to formulation and manufacturing
Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate accurately and concisely to multiple levels within the company
Proficient computer skills, with the ability to become competent in the use of PLM and other computer-based systems

Estimated Salary Range:
$110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
