Job Summary:
A senior leader is required to oversee the Softlines Apparel category, leveraging strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive business growth and profitability.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in category management, buying, project management, financial analysis, and marketing. They should be able to analyze sub-category metrics to inform decisions on selection, convenience, and cost structures.
This professional will own the P&L for sub-categories, develop plans to drive revenue and margin improvement, and review results of promotions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to drive business growth and profitability
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate pricing and promotion terms
- Analyze sales data and market trends to inform category decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive inventory management and finance initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- 5+ years of experience in category management, buying, project management, financial analysis, and marketing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA degree
- SQL knowledge
- Experience in product management and vendor negotiations
