Job Title: Data Protection Specialist

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of comprehensive privacy laws, regulator and other guidance and standards. A strong track record of advising on data protection issues is essential for this role.

Description:

As a senior member of the team, you will work closely with business and engineering teams to design innovative solutions that meet the highest standards of data protection. This involves working directly with stakeholders to identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. In addition, you will provide expert advice on compliance and auditing frameworks, ensuring that all activities align with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance on handling privacy complaints, queries, and data subject rights.
  • Assist with escalations regarding requests from courts and law enforcement agencies.
  • Support the development of policies and procedures related to data protection.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a law firm or regulatory environment.
  • Law degree and full legal qualification, admitted to the relevant bar association.
  • Proficiency in English and Portuguese.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple wide-ranging matters and conflicting deadlines.
