Traveling Physical Therapist Assistant

Rehabilitation professionals at a leading provider of physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapies are seeking motivated individuals to fill the role of Traveling Physical Therapist Assistant. The ideal candidate will be able to travel nationwide for 13-week assignments, providing high-quality patient care in various settings.

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in rehabilitation and wellness while enjoying the benefits of traveling. Our team is dedicated to supporting the professional development of new graduates and clinical fellows through our Powerback Clinical Mentorship Program.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to facilitate patient independence.
  • Attending and contributing to patient care and staff meetings.
  • Delivering rehab services per established care plans and documenting services timely.
  • Collaborating with the rehabilitation team to implement patient programs.
  • Assisting physical therapists with tests, evaluations, and procedures.
  • Instructing patients and caregivers in therapy techniques.
  • Maintaining and reporting on equipment needs.

The selected candidate must possess excellent communication skills, be adaptable to new environments, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program certified by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as required by the state.
  • Available to travel and reside temporarily outside their primary residence.
