In this role, you will be responsible for designing, managing and maintaining robust database systems to support our global operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Configure, install and maintain z/OS DB2 database systems.
- Manage user access and enforce data security standards.
- Perform database performance tuning and optimization.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
- Create and manage databases and tablespaces based on project requirements.
- Conduct capacity planning and usage forecasting.
- Collaborate with global teams to align database initiatives with business goals.
- Propose and implement system enhancements for improved performance and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
We are looking for a candidate with strong knowledge of z/OS and advanced English communication skills. Proficiency in JCL, TSO, SDSF, JES2, and ISPF is also required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Strong knowledge of z/OS.
- Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in JCL, TSO, SDSF, JES2, ISPF.
- Experience with DB2 Utilities: Reorg, Copy, Runstats, Load, Unload, Recovery, ReBuild.
- Familiarity with IBM QMF, SPUFI, DB2 Admin, and ISV tools.
- Expertise in DB2 Backup and Recovery.
- Experience with DB2 Single and Datasharing systems.
