Demand Planner Job Description

Imagine using your experience to develop and implement effective demand planning strategies for the future.

  • Forecasting & Planning: Lead the development of accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, customer insights. Ensure demand forecasts are aligned with business objectives and product availability to optimize customer satisfaction and inventory levels.
  • Sales Support & Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales team to understand upcoming customer demand, legal transportation requests, and new product launches. Provide the sales team with data-driven insights and demand trends to help them meet their goals, improve customer relationships, and optimize sales strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales, Strategy, Operations, Purchasing, and Finance teams.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Work on demand planning tools and analytics to track forecast accuracy, identify potential gaps, and provide detailed reports on demand performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving processes.
Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Administration, Production Engineering, or a related field and have experience in demand planning, sales forecasting, or a related role, preferably within an S&OP environment.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerBI skills for data analysis.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Sales and Operations teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven recommendations to Sales and cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving, with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
