Job Description

This role entails leading the transformation of logistics and customer operations in Latin America, providing a service that matures full logistics operations and contributes to each market in the region.

The purpose of this role is to cover the complete Logistics and Customer taxonomy, including transport, warehousing, import, export, customs, logistics supplier management, and health & safety supplier performance management.

The outcomes are measured in cost efficiency, service, collaborative relationships, and value crafting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic projects to deliver step changes in COGS, service, and flexibility across the supply chain. Implement long-term logistics capacity strategies.
  • Engage, lead, and develop people in logistics operations by releasing their potential. Develop 'world-class performance' in quality, safety, service, and cost.
  • Drive and own key change and integration initiatives in transportation to deliver coordinated and efficient transport solutions across the transport network.
  • Ensure costings within budget and services provided to be within planned financials.
  • Provide expert logistics input understanding Latin American dynamics to ensure credibility of market-facing teams.
  • Work with markets to reduce secondary logistics carbon footprint in the LAC region.
  • Influence internal and external collaborators from the supply chain to improve end-to-end processes as logistics is responsible for delivering Diageo goods to customers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience as a logistics manager covering all taxonomies of warehousing, transport, customs, logistics procurement, and customer (OTC) in a manufacturing company.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience of logistics in more than one Latin American country.
  • Demonstrable ability to engage and align collaborators behind plans and win support for implementing change within the organisation.
  • BSc or MSc or equivalent experience in a supply chain-related subject.
  • Ability to lead in environments where influence is more important than formal authority.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of end-to-end supply chain and customer collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written combined with the ability to engage effectively at all levels in the organisation.
  • An understanding of how leading technology can enable effective logistics operations.
  • Numerate and ability to apply KPIs to drive performance management.
