
Pharmacy Operations Leader

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage pharmacy operations, encompassing customer service, inventory management, and workflow efficiency.
- Oversee and develop pharmacy technicians, ensuring they possess comprehensive knowledge about company policies, laws, and regulations.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal laws, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Process prescriptions, manage inventory, and coordinate daily pharmacy activities.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance pharmacy operations and customer experience.
- Ensure accurate records and implement security measures.
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to analyze and improve pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service.
Customer Experience:
Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting patients, offering assistance, and resolving complaints in a timely manner.
Build strong relationships with customers by anticipating their needs and proactively offering services.
Enhance customer experience by increasing focus on healthcare services and providing outstanding customer service.
Operations:
Support pharmacists in delivering patient care, including patient registration, prescription data entry, and medication preparation.
Complete patient and physician calls under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Exercise independent judgment to delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy.
Ensure tasks are completed on-time and hold others accountable for efficient workflow.
People & Performance Management:
Lead performance management of technicians, making decisions and recommendations regarding discipline and termination.
Follow constructive discipline policy to discipline, suspend, terminate, or effectively recommend the same.
Hold technician accountable for attendance and timeliness.
Additional Responsibilities:
Manage core pharmacy workflow and drive excellence in pharmacy operations.
Coordinate and organize pharmacy daily schedule of activities.
Recommend allocation of pharmacy hours.
Ensure the pharmacy is clean, neat, orderly, and stocked with adequate supplies.
Prepare and file reports and records required by regulatory agencies.
Drive new technology/process roll out, champion change, and engage team around action planning.
Ensure proper operation and maintenance of pharmacy department equipment.
Security and Compliance:
Adhere strictly to Good Faith Dispensing during all applicable prescription-dispensing activities.
Understand role in ensuring that elements of Good Faith Dispensing are met.
Communicate prescription errors to the accountable pharmacist and adhere to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Continuous Quality Improvement Program.
Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims to resolve customer issues and prevent payment rejections.
Community Outreach:
Manage Community Outreach Portal and coordinate community events at the direction of the Pharmacy Manager.
Build and sustain relationships with retail partnerships.
Main Goals:
Operate pharmacy efficiently and provide positive customer experience.
Assist pharmacist in delivery of patient care.
Develop and implement processes to improve pharmacy operations and customer experience.
Action Plan:
Identify areas of improvement in pharmacy operations and customer experience.
