This position is for an experienced medical professional who will lead and mentor a team of phlebotomists in the collection of blood donations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong understanding of medical procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities will include training and mentoring staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures, and providing excellent customer service to donors.

This role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist and 2 years of experience as a team lead in a healthcare setting.

Medical assistant certification or phlebotomy certification is strongly preferred.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading by example, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical assistant certification or phlebotomy certification (preferred)
  • 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist
  • 2 years of experience as a team lead in a healthcare setting

Additional Information
  • This position reports directly to the Donor Collections Manager
  • Hours vary daily based on schedule of blood drives and can be either 7am - 3pm or 12pm - 8pm with a schedule provided two weeks in advance
