Behavioral Health Specialist

Mentor Behavioral Health is a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing exceptional care and support services to individuals, families, and communities. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in our team's efforts to empower people to live fulfilling lives.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in psychology or a related field and have at least one year of experience in providing mental health direct services to children. A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are also required. Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles and familiarity with conducting Functional Behavior Assessments are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement behavioral plans, providing therapy and other therapeutic services for individuals and their families.
  2. Collaborate with supervisors to develop, maintain, and generalize behavioral change.
  3. Implement least restrictive treatment guidelines and provide coaching on management, communication, and social skills.
  4. Provide behavioral interventions at home, community, or job sites individually or in groups.
  5. Complete admission and discharge planning, documentation, and assessments as needed.
  6. Evaluate progress from a qualitative and quantitative standpoint.
  7. Consult with community-based resources and participate in family education and training.
  8. Participate in treatment planning and clinical consultations to ensure coordinated care efforts.
  9. Evaluate, progress, and discharges reports on each individual in a timely manner.
  10. Submit documentation in a timely manner, compliant with program expectations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  1. No supervisory responsibilities are required.
Qualifications
  1. A Master's degree in psychology or a related field is required.
  2. At least one year of experience in providing mental health direct services to children is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, And Registrations
  1. A valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record are required.
Other Skills And Abilities
  1. Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles is essential.
  2. Familiarity with conducting Functional Behavior Assessments is preferred.
