Respiratory Therapist Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Respiratory Therapist, delivering quality care and promoting patient safety.

The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas of respiratory care, including critical care, pediatrics, and neonatal services. They will be responsible for performing various duties, such as administering inhalants and aerosolized medications, operating mechanical ventilators, and delivering therapeutic gas administration.

Additionally, the successful candidate will promote a safe and clean working environment, determining and facilitating discharge/discontinuation of services, recording patient services, developing and enhancing professional knowledge and skills, contributing to team efforts, complying with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements, ensuring operation of equipment, protecting patient information and confidentiality, and contributing to PI team efforts.

The qualifications for this role include an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and 1-2 years of experience. A Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy is preferred, along with clinical experience in all areas of respiratory care. The individual must also possess a Registered Respiratory Therapy license and BLS/CPR certification for a healthcare provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quality care by integrating examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and intervention to optimize outcomes.
  • Promote patient safety by complying with policies and procedures, rules, and regulations governing environment of care and patient safety.
  • Determine and facilitate discharge/discontinuation of services by analyzing achievement of anticipated goals and expected outcomes.
  • Record patient services by documenting, dating, and authenticating respiratory therapy examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, intervention, and outcomes.
  • Develop and enhance professional knowledge and skills by participating in continuing education and reviewing professional publications.
  • Contribute to team efforts by embracing change and investigating opportunities for new lines of services.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by understanding and adhering to current standards of practice for respiratory therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required
  • 1-2 years of experience required
  • Clinical experience in all areas of respiratory care is preferred
  • Registered Respiratory Therapy license required
  • BLS/CPR for a healthcare provider required
