Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering respiratory care to patients, managing respiratory and pulmonary care, and providing assessment, support, treatment, and diagnostics as part of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate, manage, and care for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities.
  2. Maintain respiratory equipment inventory and ensure adequate stock.
  3. Provide respiratory therapy as ordered by physicians, following established standards.
  4. Train staff, including physicians and students, on respiratory therapy issues.
  5. Manage mechanical ventilators, BiPAP, and monitor respiratory status.
  6. Perform emergency resuscitations, maintain airways, and measure ventilator parameters in critical care.
  7. Conduct arterial blood gas analysis and interpret pulse oximetry results.
  8. Educate patients on sleep apnea, CPAP machines, and related equipment.
  9. Set up diagnostic sleep studies.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited RRT program.
  • Less than 1 year of experience.
  • Proficiency in respiratory therapy techniques and equipment troubleshooting.
  • RRT certification (NBRC) and Pennsylvania state license within 1 year.
  • ACLS certification within 60 days.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
  • PALS and NRP certifications within 60 days.
  • RCP licensure upon hire.
