Role Overview

This 18-month role offers a flexible work arrangement in any country where The Nature Conservancy is registered to do business. It involves providing private awards management and general financial, accounting, and information services for global conservation teams.

The successful candidate will collaborate on proposals, develop budgets and forecasts with the ZCC team, track actuals and variances, maintain and support accounting activities and system processes, prepare financial reports for staff and donors, coordinate payables, contracts, sub-awards, and other agreements, and ensure best practices and organizational policies are met accurately and timely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage private awards and general financial services for global conservation teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop proposals and budgets
  • Maintain and support accounting activities and system processes
  • Prepare financial reports and coordinate payables, contracts, and sub-awards
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, and four years of relevant experience
  • Strong experience with relational databases, Excel spreadsheets, and financial models
  • Technical experience with general accounting practices and grants/award accounting issues
  • Experience using accounting and financial reporting systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team
