About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Engineer Sr to join our team at Gerresheimer. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the overall well-being of our workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze work methods and processes to identify potential hazards and risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address safety concerns, and provide training and guidance on safety protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain safety documentation, including incident reports, safety audits, and training records.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in occupational health and safety, and apply this knowledge to improve our safety programs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree in occupational health and safety or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety, with a focus on workplace safety and risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards, including OSHA and ISO 45001.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
