Project Development Specialist

The role involves supporting the development, organization, and coordination of workshops, study visits, training courses, and special events under a framework project. This project aims to strengthen the criminal justice system response to illegal deforestation and timber trafficking in Brazil.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, organize, coordinate, and prepare workshops, study visits, training courses, and special events.
- Liaise with counterparts within the organization and assist in building strategic partnerships.
- Participate in field missions, providing substantive and administrative support.
- Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines, including regular narrative and financial progress reports.
- Lead event organization, ensuring procurement of services is completed in conformity with rules and regulations.
- Assist in identifying procurement needs for relevant forestry projects in Brazil.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in criminology, social science, political science, international relations, security studies, or other relevant disciplines. A minimum of two years of professional work experience in crime prevention and environmental crime is also required.
