Commissioning Expert

Job Description

As a Commissioning Expert, you will be responsible for overseeing the global commissioning of wind farm controllers, with most activities taking place remotely.

  • Key responsibilities include commissioning of wind farm controller, controller interfaces, and preparation of grid code testing.
  • You will maintain regular contact and communication with clients' experts to elaborate project-specific requirements, testing, and solutions.
  • Ambitious candidates will gain valuable experience in running and closing windfarm controller projects.
  • You will support negotiations with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • In addition, you will be responsible for testing and improving processes within the Windfarm Control Operations department, working closely with department leads.
Required Skills and Qualifications

You must have:

  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Technology, Electronics, IT, telecommunications, or an equivalent technical education.
  • Broad knowledge of wind farm controller tools and processes.
  • Skills in Hardwired, Modbus TCP, IEC 60870-5-101, IEC 60870-5-104, OPC UA, DNP3, and other relevant technologies.
  • Understanding Grid operator interfaces and customer interfaces, including Root cause analyses tools like wire shark.
  • Experience with PLC commissioning, Grid Code Testing, and PCMS - Parameter Configuration and Management System.
  • A Certificate to act as an electrically skilled person is highly valued.
  • Knowledge about wind turbine technologies is beneficial.
  • Self-responsibility, structure, and solution-oriented work approach.
  • Very good communication skills, strong planning- and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in English, and proficiency in Spanish and other languages is an added value.
  • Intercultural understanding and ability to work productively in multitask teams.
  • Team player attitude and willingness to go on business trips.
