Wind Asset Advisory Engineer

We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our Wind Asset Advisory team in São Paulo and provide critical support to wind farm operational success for our clients.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing operational energy yield assessments and wind farm performance analysis by analyzing complex data and preparing detailed reports for stakeholders.

This role involves delivering high-quality operational intelligence on wind farm performance, with duties comprising:

  1. Developing and implementing advanced data analysis of high-frequency operational datasets sourced from SCADA systems, fault alarms, and event logs, applying tailored programming languages such as Python.
  2. Interpreting and validating monthly performance reports from Operation & Maintenance contractors, providing data-driven insights for KPI tracking, availability metrics, and energy yield assessments.
  3. Utilizing specialized software and diagnostic tools to process turbine-level and plant-level data, supporting analysis of downtimes, wind anomalies, specific losses (environmental, curtailment, operational strategies, electrical, etc), power curves, among other performance indicators.
  4. Calculating P50 energy production through well-established methodologies, providing critical analysis of wind data long-term series, and correlating with performance findings.

The successful candidate will also support the Performance team with some specific activities such as back-cast studies, statistical analysis, or task automation. This is a hybrid role from São Paulo, requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, and fluency in Portuguese and English, with Spanish being a plus.
