About the Role

This exciting opportunity allows you to leverage your skills in commercial and contractual aspects of tendering, negotiating, awarding, and managing contracts and major purchase orders. You will work closely with department managers, project managers, and project engineers to develop scopes, ensuring effective compliance to BMS in accordance with Company procedures and systems.

You will be responsible for arranging all project bonds, guarantees, and insurances as required, providing commercial and contractual advice to department managers and Project Management Teams (PMT). Your expertise will also be sought in liaison with project managers and project engineers, leading to negotiation and execution of all Variation Orders (VO) with contractors.

A key aspect of this role is highlighting any major commercial or contractual risks or issues to relevant managers, working collaboratively to ensure optimum solutions. You will also be involved in project close-out activities, ensuring signature of acceptance, performance feedbacks, and satisfactory monitoring of bonds/warranty etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial and contractual aspects of tendering, negotiating, awarding, and managing contracts and major purchase orders
  • Maintaining effective compliance to BMS in accordance with Company procedures and systems
  • Arranging all project bonds, guarantees, and insurances as required
  • Providing commercial and contractual advice to department managers and Project Management Teams (PMT)
  • Liaison with project managers and project engineers, leading to negotiation and execution of all Variation Orders (VO) with contractors
  • Highlighting major commercial or contractual risks or issues to relevant managers
  • Project close-out activities, including signature of acceptance and performance feedbacks
Requirements

To succeed in this challenging role, you should possess:

  • Educated to degree level in an appropriate discipline or alternatively have Supply Chain education both formal (CIPS) and informal equivalent experience
  • Awareness of a commercial environment
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain processes

We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and innovative industry.
