Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Patient Liaison. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, delivering medical equipment and supplies to patients, and teaching them how to use and maintain the equipment.

The position also requires knowledge of insurance benefits and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, referral sources, and hospital personnel. Responsibilities include maintaining and increasing revenue from hospital/facility orders, developing and maintaining knowledge of home equipment, insurance guidelines, eligibility, and reimbursement for patients, and fulfilling equipment orders in a timely and accurate manner.

Additional responsibilities include delivering or picking up supplies and equipment, understanding issues related to cost-effective delivery methods, training and educating patients and caregivers on equipment use, informing new patients about their rights and responsibilities, and initiating the insurance verification process.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Associate Degree from an accredited college is preferred.
  • One (1) year of work related to health care, administrative, insurance, customer services, or management regardless of industry.
  • The exact job experience considered must be DME, Diabetes, Incontinence Sales.
