Leadership and Operations Director Role

The Director of Country and Site Operations is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of clinical trials in Latin America. This position requires excellent operational leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the regional regulatory environment.

This role involves providing guidance and oversight to a high-performing team of professionals who are responsible for managing clinical trials across multiple countries in the region. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dynamic environment, with a proven track record of delivering results-driven initiatives that drive business growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational leadership and oversight to the Country and Site Operations team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize trial delivery and operational performance in Latin America.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and local regulations.
  • Lead the development and implementation of quality metrics and operational performance standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, investigators, site staff, regulatory bodies, and patient organizations.
Requirements:
  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced/graduate degree preferred.
  • 12+ years' experience in clinical development, with experience across multiple clinical operations disciplines.
  • Deep understanding of the LATAM Clinical Trial environment.
  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally.
  • Experienced people manager.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory environment regarding GCP, clinical trial regulations and regulatory guidances pertinent to clinical trial conduct in assigned region.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including experience working with various levels of senior management.
  • Fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • R&D project leadership experience preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
