Job Opportunity:

Database Professional

The Database Professional is responsible for designing and implementing efficient data storage solutions to improve system performance and meet business needs. This role requires a strong understanding of relational databases and the ability to develop complex queries, stored procedures, and database objects.

  • Develops, tests, and maintains complex database objects including Microsoft SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and other database scripts.
  • Creates and updates documentation for new and existing processes and database scripts.
  • Collaborates with the Informatics team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or 5 years of professional experience in database design and programming.
  • Prior experience working in IT at a Federally Qualified Health Center is preferred.
  • Prior experience with data warehouses and importing and cleansing data from different sources is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with NextGen or athenaOne EHR systems is a plus.
  • Some understanding of medical terminology and ICD-10 and CPT4 coding is a plus.

Work Environment:

The work environment is moderate with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee must be willing to work in a clinical environment to provide onsite support to employees as needed and have a flexible work schedule that may include evenings/weekends.
