Lead a Luxury Hotel Project

This is an exciting opportunity to spearhead the launch of a high-end hotel in Paramaribo, Suriname. The hotel will be a landmark destination in the rapidly growing international business and hospitality sector.

The project involves leading all operational departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, etc. This requires strong leadership and team-building skills to build and maintain a high-performing local team.

You will also be responsible for managing the pre-opening phase, including developing SOPs, vendor and contractor coordination, recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff.

Additionally, you will execute the strategic vision in collaboration with ownership, maintain exceptional service standards, ensure guest satisfaction, and develop strong relationships with VIP and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all operational departments: Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, etc.
  • Manage the pre-opening phase, including developing SOPs, vendor and contractor coordination, recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff.
  • Execute the strategic vision in collaboration with ownership.
  • Maintain exceptional service standards and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing local team.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and international luxury hospitality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with VIP and corporate clients.
  • Oversee budgets, P&L, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
About the Role

This role requires a minimum of 10 years of senior hotel operations leadership experience, with a proven track record of success in luxury or 5-star hotels.

Experience in hotel pre-opening is highly preferred, as well as strong knowledge of F&B operations, guest experience, and operational KPIs.

Familiarity with executive and business traveler needs is essential, as well as fluency in English. Dutch and/or Spanish is a plus.

Requirements
