Tax Strategist

Job Description:

As a senior tax specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing procurement processes from a tax perspective. This involves establishing and optimizing business rules such as supplier price selection criteria and quotation structures.


You will deeply understand procurement processes and propose improvements considering Brazilian indirect tax requirements. Assist in integrating these workflows into IT systems to enhance the level of informatization and procurement process efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify purchase orders, contracts, tax invoices, and logistics documents to ensure compliance with Brazilian tax legislation.
  • Analyze procurement processes to identify legal opportunities for tax savings; evaluate the impact of import taxes (II, IPI) and optimize procurement strategies.
  • Support procurement and finance teams in analyzing supplier tax risks; provide tax training to facilitate understanding of Brazil's complex tax system.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Fields of study: Finance, Taxation, or related areas.
  • Experience:At least 3 years of experience in Brazilian taxation, with preference for candidates having experience in procurement-related taxes and/or working experience at reputable firms.
  • Skills:Proficiency in Brazilian tax legislation;Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Languages:Fluent in Portuguese and English.
