Job Opportunity: Tax Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Tax Specialist to join our team. This role will involve analyzing procurement processes, establishing and optimizing business rules, and training relevant departments on implementation.

  • Analyze procurement processes under different scenarios from a tax perspective and establish and optimize business rules such as supplier price selection criteria and quotation structures.
  • Deeply understand procurement processes and propose process improvements considering Brazilian indirect tax requirements.
  • Verify purchase orders, contracts, tax invoices, and logistics documents to ensure compliance with Brazilian tax legislation.
  • Analyze procurement processes to identify legal opportunities for tax savings and evaluate the impact of import taxes.
  • Support procurement and finance teams in analyzing supplier tax risks and provide tax training to facilitate understanding of Brazil's complex tax system.
Requirements:
  • Education: Fields of study: Finance, Taxation, or related areas.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in Brazilian taxation with preference for candidates having experience in procurement-related taxes and/or working experience at Big Four firms.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Brazilian tax legislation and knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Languages: Fluent in Portuguese and English.
