Project Support Specialist

The Project Support Specialist will play a pivotal role in the implementation of a project in Juiz de Fora, collaborating closely with teams from UN-Habitat, local authorities, and civil society. This role involves providing technical advice, data collection, processing, and maintenance, as well as communication with partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support technical, administrative, and management activities to meet project objectives.
  • Extract, process, analyze, and present data from public databases, repositories, and statistics.
  • Assist in the elaboration and calculation of variables, indicators, and other related data.
  • Attend local meetings as requested by UN-Habitat and partners.
  • Ensure proper collection of data and information.
  • Maintain orderly, standardized, and structured data records.
  • Collaborate with institutional knowledge mechanisms by compiling, reporting, and sharing information.

The specialist will be responsible for completing all courses or training activities indicated by their supervisor. They must also ensure their own security and comply with United Nations security mechanisms.

Qualifications/Special Skills:
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, and Google (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) are required.
  • Good handling of online event and conference tools is desirable.
  • Good knowledge on project management methodologies is desirable.
