Job Title: Project Coordinator - Green Bond Partnership

Description:

  • The Regional Green Bond Partnership for Latin America and the Caribbean aims to promote green finance, reduce environmental risk, and enhance access to capital markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage day-to-day operations of the Program, including technical supervision, quality review, budgeting, contracting, and coordination of consultancies.
  2. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely execution of planned activities and promoting client consultation.
  3. Support the development of bilateral client discussions, draft presentations, reports, and agendas.
  4. Assist in identifying potential new clients, reviewing client portfolios, and developing frameworks for thematic or sustainability-linked instruments.
  5. Support the analysis and development of innovative financial instruments with operational relevance, including credit enhancement tools such as guarantees to enhance bond issuances.
  6. Analyze the feasibility of IDB guarantee support to bond issuances.
  7. Process IDB guarantee programs related to bonds.
  8. C coordate work of the Program with key related IDB initiatives, such as mainstreaming to scale up the use of guarantees.
  9. Identify strategic complementary partnerships with external Programs, including co-financing with KfW.
  10. Recommend and execute implementation strategies; secure engagement of key Program stakeholders (KfW Development Bank, BMZ, Organization of American States).
  11. Collect data and develop knowledge and advisory content, discussion and briefing notes for internal use.
  12. Create and disseminate knowledge products.
  13. Review and comment on studies and background materials developed by other consultants and consultancy firms.
  14. Maintain a technically up-to-date Program presentation package to represent the Program in global, regional, and national expert fora.

Requirements:

  • Educational background in international finance or a related discipline.
  • 5 years of relevant working experience in green finance, thematic bonds, and financial and capital markets.
  • Knowledge of MDB guarantees and project management experience ideally in an international environment, preferably in or on Latin American and the Caribbean.
