As the world's most sustainable renewable energy company, we're seeking a skilled in-house legal counsel to join our team. The Legal & Compliance Department is responsible for ensuring that our organization complies with the legal and regulatory requirements of the countries in which it operates, managing legal, social, and compliance risks and opportunities across all of our operations.

The Service & Operations legal department works closely with the Service & Operations department to ensure that our operations and processes are aligned with our contract and risk management policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing expert legal support in areas related to our business.
  • Ensuring that our regulatory and compliance activities on our products and business activities are conducted ethically and in compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and standards.
  • Structuring, drafting, evaluating, negotiating, and approving legal contracts, letters of agreement, policies, and other documents.
  • Managing contracts with customers, vendors, suppliers, partners, or employees (contract drafting, execution, and analysis, negotiation of the terms and conditions).
  • Representing/advocating for the organization in litigation, arbitration, mediation, or other disputes.
  • Ensuring the legal compliance of contractual clauses taking into account global, local, regional legal frameworks, and guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Law degree from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrable experience (minimum 3 years) in general commercial law.
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese, written and spoken (desirable but not exclusive Spanish).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
