Job Description

This individual is responsible for understanding the customers' vision and needs in terms of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical activities that support major business decisions and overall financial health.

The primary function of this role is to deliver high-impact value through products and tools that facilitate the combination of financial operations and external data to drive analytics that uncover in-depth insights needed for business planning and guide more profitable decision making.

He/she partners closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis Product Owner to support making the product vision a reality and maximize business value for the organization.

He/She works in partnership with the SCRUM development team, functional stakeholders (Finance), other IT/technical specialists or Chapter roles, support areas, and external technology vendors.

  • Business Strategy / Strategic Vision

- Partners in an agile way with Finance stakeholders in relation to planning, forecasting, budgeting, and KPIs, to co-create business value leveraging technology to develop financial planning and reporting tools, able to gather data and provide insights to monitor financial performance.

- Contributes to the vision of the product, its definition, and the associated value. Makes recommendations to build and sustain the backlog, arbitrating among different needs and priorities.

- Ensures consistency between the needs of end-users and stakeholders, as reflected in the vision of the product, its delivery, and its deployment & adoption

- Understands the business needs, proactively conducts exploratory and confirmatory analysis to identify product opportunities and discover product insights.

- Supports prioritization process, plan, and communicates on the steps identified to deliver the product

- Understands and maximizes the value of data and how it fits in the overall strategy of the organization.

- Delivers analytics capabilities in line with data architecture vision, strategy, principles, and standards.

- Ensures on-time reporting.

- Ensures an accurate monitoring of finance performance through proper tools and KPIs.

- Ensures that all budget preparations (month, quarter, year) and all period closing reporting are executed and delivered on time.

  • Process & Projects

- Financial planning and analysis process.

- Technology to support Financial Planning & Analysis (EPM tools, Tagetik, SAP, PowerBI).

- Agile frameworks and delivery models

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Knowledge of JIRA, ServiceNow, Asana, and relevant ticketing/agile management tools.

- Experience with CPG and working agile are desired.

- Experience working in a multicultural, remote team environment

- Business sense when discussing demands with functions and technical knowledge when communicating with the squad.

- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.

- Solid communication, influencing, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams in a cross-cultural and cross-functional environment.
