Job Overview

  • As a mid-senior A&R Manager, you will be responsible for discovering, signing and developing new talents in the South Cone region. Your focus will be on creating strategic partnerships and commercial relationships with local and independent labels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Artist Development: Identify, sign and develop artists, producers and labels with potential in the South Cone market.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Lead negotiations of A&R and distribution agreements for local and independent artists, ensuring competitive deals that align with A&R and ADA's strategic objectives.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with independent labels, artists and managers.
  • Integration and Distribution: Oversee the integration of signed artists into Warner Music's distribution network, ensuring proper execution of digital and physical distribution agreements (through ADA).
  • Market Exploration: Explore new business opportunities and musical trends in the South Cone to develop strategies that expand Warner Music and ADA's presence in emerging genres and territories.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination of agreements and plan successful strategies for artists and projects.
  • Project Oversight: Supervise recording sessions, travel and production schedules to guarantee maximum quality in all projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience: More than 4 years of experience in A&R or related fields within the music industry, with a proven track record of artist development, agreement negotiation and distribution management.
  • Regional Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the South Cone music scene and familiarity with the local market dynamics in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay.
  • Negotiation Skills: Experience in negotiating and executing distribution and label agreements, particularly in the digital distribution space.
  • Analytical Skills: High analytical capacity to guide decision-making.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the region.
  • Linguistic Skills: Dominant Spanish and English language skills, both written and spoken.
