Senior Linux Engineering Leader

Description:

This leadership role involves overseeing a team of engineers that partners with Linux developers to optimize the operating system for the latest hardware platforms.

  • Direct a team of distributed engineers to design and implement the best integration strategy for IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks.
  • Engage with key partners to deliver a seamless, optimized Ubuntu experience on their platforms.
  • Develop your team through coaching, mentoring, leading by example, and feedback.
  • Oversee commercial engagements and ensure timely delivery on agreed project milestones.
  • Maintain an ongoing commitment to high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure alignment on product architecture and roadmaps.

The ideal candidate must be resourceful, articulate, and able to deliver on diverse solutions across PC and IoT technologies. A background in software engineering is necessary for this role, and technical leadership experience is also required.

As a Senior Linux Engineering Leader, you will be expected to manage relationships with key partners, influence the company culture, facilitate technical delivery, and work with your team on strategy and execution.
