Senior Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact at a high-growth enterprise software company in the life insurance space. You will collaborate with other developers and a product manager to build software in support of a suite of business applications and their worldwide delivery teams, all of whom rely on a high-performance, reliable, and extensible backend.

Responsibilities
  • Develop features that optimize the main platform;
  • Evaluate and document existing integrations;
  • Work with continuous integration, continuous deployment, and infrastructure as code;
  • Write clear technical documentation;
  • Collaborate in an Agile Delivery environment;
  • Work remotely.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field;
  • 8+ years of experience writing production-quality code, preferably on core software product development (not professional services or implementation projects);
  • Strong proficiency in React and solid experience with NodeJS;
  • Solid understanding of software design patterns and best practices in frontend architecture;
  • Experience with Test Driven Development;
  • Experience designing and building scalable, enterprise-grade cloud-native applications;
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL;
  • Familiarity with integrating 3rd-party APIs (REST, XML, JSON);
  • Exposure to Cloud services and DevOps tools (AWS, Docker, Redis, Kubernetes);
  • Upper-Intermediate English level.
