Procurement Specialist

The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and execution of buying strategies across LATAM. This role covers our business in Argentina, Brazil & Colombia.

About the Job

This is a procurement specialist position that involves developing strategies and leading their execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and leading supplier relationships and program development to deliver significant value.

  • Developing buying strategies and leading their execution.
  • Building and leading supplier relationships and program development.
  • Recommending and implementing business allocations.
  • Leading or serving as a team member in sourcing activities.

This role requires strong influencing, collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to build strong working relationships. Proficiency in SAP and Excel is ideal. English, Portuguese & Spanish language proficiency is also required.

Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in a numerical/economical discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years of buying experience with accountability for large spend.
  • Industry experience has been gained in the fast moving consumer goods industry.
  • Experience in indirect & energy buying in Latin America is preferred.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to handle tight deadlines and many competing priorities.
  • Superior influencing, collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in SAP and Excel.
  • English, Portuguese & Spanish language proficiency.
Location and Travel

Location: São Paulo, Brazil or Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Travel requirements: Domestic and occasional international travel required.
